As the holy month of Ramadan reaches an end, television drama series, which have been in competition throughout the holy month, are being compared to each other to see which ones are favored over others.
The names of star for this year have been welcomed by great number of fans. The Egyptian beloved actress Yusra glowed in her new drama series “Qadiyat Ra’ie Am” (A Matter of Public Opinion) against her competitor the famous Egyptian actress Nadia Al Jundi. The second has returned to television in a new drama series that hasn’t been successful among her fans since it is shown exclusively on the Egyptian satellite channel and not all viewers around the Arab world have access to the channel. Al Jundi was delayed back in the Ramadan drama series, which became the main focus for producer.
According to the London daily Elaph, Yusra stars in “Qadiyat Raie Am” which is produced by ‘Al Adel Group’ Production Company and this is not the first time the two work together. Al Adel Group produced successful series for Yusra, yet today she is the victim of a rape crime in the drama series.
Yusra plays the role of Dr. Ablah the head of Pediatric Clinic at Ain Shams University. She is the famous doctor that is loved by everyone. She is married to a doctor also, yet she decides to get a divorce, because she refuses to go along with her husband who tries to hide the fact that she’s been raped. Dr. Ablah instead fights back and tries to catch those who raped her by having the law interfere.
Dr. Albah leaves behind her a teenage daughter and her only song to live with their father. Dr. Ablah moves in with her sister and when her sister’s husband finds out of her rape case he kicks her out of the house. Her uncle, who is living with his son that is a lawyer, welcomes her to his home. Her cousin adopts the rape case and becomes Dr. Ablah’s lawyer.
This story line is new where three young men that behave badly and are addicted to drugs kidnap three women Dr. Ablah, another Dr. who is doing her residency and a nurse who’s pregnant. The third goes into a coma from what happened and she ends up loosing her unborn child.
Yusra who has shown enthusiasm for the role wants to focus the lights on who is to blame for the incident, the victim or the one who committed the crime. In Dr. Ablah’s case a famous Minister’s son is among the men who committed the crime, which creates a dilemma on who will win against the other.
On the other hand Egyptian actress Fifi Abdoh who’s fans are used to her playing as the perfect person has a role in the series “Azhar”. She lives in a Sa’eydi village where there are constant revenge between it’s people. The violent drama that goes around in the village between Abo Al Ma’ati family and Hasaneen is never ending. Fifi ends up loosing her husband to the revenge where she ends up living with her family at her father’s mansion. She takes over in controlling everyone at her father’s house, which leads to the jealousy of all the women around her.
Fifi succeeds in bringing the families together when she agrees to marry Hasaneen.
This Ramadan the fans wait to see who was successful and who wasn’t since there are great names that have made a return back to the small screen after being absent for a long time. |
