Lebanon was very present this year at the Cannes Festival. One of the two Lebanese films which took part in the event, “Caramel” by Nadine Labaki, received quite an applauding response by the European film critics.
However, the spot lights were meddled with, because the real show was taking place behind close doors in the hotel rooms of Cannes!
Co-owner of “Style Modeling Agency” Elie Nahas has been charged by the French authorities, alongside five other suspects, with “human traffic”, “facilitating prostitution” and “money laundering”. After his models invaded a hotel in Cannes this year, the existing suspicions from earlier months increased. It is said that his models cater for the “special needs” of guests taking part in this international film festival, especially rich Arabs.
When it’s a possibility that celebrities could be involved in all this, you know it is going to be very juicy.

Elie Nahas is Sabine Abdel Nour’s husband and partner in the venture.
Sabine is no other than former “Miss Internet” and sister of famous singer Cyrine Abdel Nour.
All the names related to the modeling scene in Lebanon have become easy targets for the press. Those that happened to be present at the festival, such as first runner up to Miss Lebanon Lamita Frangieh, get the most grilling. When asked about this matter, she claimed to go there every year, and denied any ties with this latest incident.
As always, the funny part in all of this is that the Arabic media is focusing more on the Lebanese girls (although not all of them are Lebanese) and much less on the clients which are mostly rich frustrated Saudis and other equally disturbed Arabs from the gulf. It’s always fun to trash Lebanese girls. After all they are prettier, more talented, smarter and much more cunning.
Perhaps if such people were less obsessed with sexuality all the time, there won’t be this insatiable need to open such service in the first place, right?
