Lebanese producer Yahya Sa’dih has apologized to all Christians for the Cross scene which raised many eye brows in Haifa’s latest clip “Mish Adra Astana” (I Can’t Wait).
According to Al MuhiT daily, Sa’dih states that the scene came by mistake and he is willing to take it out of the clip. Many newspapers have attacked both Sa’dih and Wahbi and accused them of harming Christianity for showing a huge Cross on the walls in different scenes from the clip.
Haifa did not make any comment regarding the dispute till now, yet her manager told Lebanese newspapers that the attack is not justified because the filming of the clip took place at the Art Department in Lebanon University. The rumor, which was spread that Haifa, filmed her video clip at a Church and of course Wahbi denies it, because no Church will allow such a thing to happen. Priest George Rahma made clear that he called the Lebanese police department to stop the video from being aired on Lebanese channels. The Priest’s decision came after he had so many phones calls complaining about the video clip stating that it hurts the feeling of every Christian. He adds that he has no control over what Haifa does only of those that belong to the Church. |
