Lebanese singer Najwa appeared to be as calm as she can and tried her best not to look worried at a press conference at The Radisson Sass in Amman Jordan, after discovering that her colleagues had failed at their performances. Unlike the previous concerts held by other singers at Jerash Nawja’s fans had arrived to Jordan from Lebanon and all over the Arab world. The tickets were selling at a good rate, which made the management of the Festival and Karam herself pleased.

According to the London daily Elaph, Najwa arrived a little late to the press conference, yet she tried to answered all the journalists questions in a very calm manner. Najwa talked about how she is honored to be part of Jerash Festival and how every music artist should do his/her best to make the festival a success. She also added that the Arab world needs such festivals in order to be known all over the world.

Najwa has been absent from Jerash Festival for sometime and she believes that her absence implies that she does not wish to perform at the prestigious festival.

Najwa’s performance was marked with significant success and she sand a collection of songs from her newest album “Haida Haki” (This is Talk); however, she also sang songs for the first time exclusively as a gift from her to the festival.

Najwa had stated at the press conference that she believes the wars in the area and the unstable conditions might have caused the previous concerts by other singers to fail.

The singer revealed that she has faith in her fan and had prayed that they won’t disgrace her. Jerash Festival is the first festival for Karam to participate in this year to sing in and as was always the case for her the stadium was over packed with fans and even outside the concert area crowds of people were present to hope to get a glimpse of the singer and hear her sing.

At the press conference Karam was asked about hard times that she’s been through, and she stated that everyone needs to go through some tough times in order to become stronger. Karam was also asked about the differences between her and the well-known Tunisian singer Latifa and how will she take her place in Rotana. She made clear that there is no such thing and that she loves Latifa.

Karam believes that only the value the a song could make the singer a good or bad singer.
