Sidsel Ben Semmane won the February 11, 2006 Danish Melodi Grand Prix with the song Twist of Love written by Niels Drevsholt. At 17 years of age, she is the youngest participant in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix of 2006. She represents Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens on May 20, 2006. Her fantastic voice and energy are sure to make her Denmark's darling whatever the outcome in Athens. Trivia Sidsel's mother is half Algerian which makes Sidsel a quarter Algerian although this is difficult to see. She was guaranteed a place in the finale because Denmark scored well in 2005 and will be ninth to sing on 20 May 2006.
