"[We're] trying to figure out how on earth we will be able to play some of it," Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke said yesterday on Radiohead's website. This auspicious comment comes in advance of a mostly European tour kicking off May 6, during which the band will be road-testing some new material. (Heads up, Yanks: They'll stop at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tenn., on June 17.)

Yorke also reports that he's "quite into the idea of singles at the moment," restating what we already know to be true: Albums are dead, and Radiohead will be releasing a la carte one-offs as it perfects them. Either that, or he's delivering very bad news to any groupies who work in pairs.

In other Yorke-related news, the singer has turned down Prime Minister Tony Blair's request for a sit-down on climate change. (Yorke, a longtime critic of Blair's military and environmental policies, claimed he was "freaked out" by preliminary talks with 10 Downing Street.) Now that talks have broken down, it's feared that Radiohead will restart its nuclear program.
