Prominent Lebanese singer Najwa Karam’s most recent concert in Doha Qatar has witnessed extraordinary success with a very large crowd of fans. Prominent Lebanese singer Milhim Barakat sang along Najwa at the concert, which was part of the Doha Cultural festival. According to the London based Elaph, at the event Najwa and Milhim sang the duet “Rah Yebka Al Watan” (Our Nation will remain) that was the highlight of the performance. Najwa has returned to Lebanon to resume work on her upcoming album, which is scheduled for release during the coming month. The singer will then head off to Egypt to place the final touches on the album and select the song that she will film in the form of a music video to launch it along with the album. On a different note, Karam had recently stated that she was fed up with production company ‘Roatana.’ She has complained to owner Saudi prince Al Waleed Bin Talal that she is not being treated fairly and there is a total disregard for her contract. Najwa claims ‘Rotana’ is placing all of their efforts on new members singers like Tunisian singer Latifa, known as the new favorite of the company. Latifa released her first album with ‘Rotana,’ along with a promotional campaign. © 2007 Al Bawaba |
