Egyptian director Dawood Abdul Said has requested Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi to seek a private tutor to give her lessons in acting. Dawood stressed to Haifa that a private teacher is needed in order to help prepare for her first cinematic role in the new film “Rasael Baher” (Letters from Sea) alongside prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki.
The first scenes of the film will be shot once Ahmad completes filming his film “Halim. Haifa had agreed to play the leading role in the film despite turning down several film offers, stressing that acting alongside Zaki is an opportunity not to be missed. Wahbi has postponed the released of her latest music video, which she has just completed shooting, until she launches her new album in Egyptian and Lebanese markets. Haifa’s decision has caused the director of the clip Hadi Al Bajory to fall in a state of worry fearing that the idea of the clip may be stolen. Hadi added that he also fears the clothes Haifa wore in the clip may as well get stolen. Hadi revealed that the clip is three songs combined in one and lasts up to 6 minutes, which is considered one of the longest clips to be released. The three songs are “Ragab” where Haifa imitates Egyptian legend Hind Rustom, “Tool Umri Aini” in which she plays the role of a common Egyptian girl at a fish market, and the third song Haifa acts out the role of a modern girl. |
