DAMASCUS, (SANA) _ Vice President Farouk al-Shara said Sunday that Syria supports all that the Lebanese agree upon in favor of achieving stability civil, peace and national unity.
This assertion came when Shara received Chairman of the Syrian National Socialist Party in Lebanon Ali Qansoh and the accompanying delegation. Both sides reviewed the latest developments in the Arab arena particularly in Lebanon and obstacles that hinder the realization of the Lebanese national reconciliation. " Syria spared no efforts to morally, politically and financially support Lebanon and its national resistance for facing the Israeli oppressive aggression on Lebanon last July," Qansoh told reporters following the meeting. " Syria and Lebanon are linking by the unity of life, interests, destiny and of history," he added, underlining necessity of bolstering this relation to ever remain distinguished and able to attain the two countries' joint interests. " Shara, during the meeting underlined Syria's keenness on the unity, civil peace and stability in Lebanon and on necessity of resuming dialogue among the Lebanese for finding an outlet to the Lebanese crisis and dropping all endeavors of inflaming sectarian divides." Qansoh mentioned. He went on to say that finding a buffer zones in South Lebanon with the aim of swallowing them was discussed, asserting that this is a dangerous issue that all Lebanese on political and popular level and in all international forums are opposing. Qansoh thanked Syria for her help and embracing hundreds of thousands of the Lebanese during the last July war and dealing them on equal footing with the Syrians.
