Fans love Shania and can't help but sing along to some of her high energy hits like Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, Man! I Feel Like A Woman, That Don't Impress Me Much, and I'm Gonna Getcha Good!.

Long before becoming the internationally recognizable musician she is today Shania started life in Windsor, Ontario. She was the second oldest of five children. As a child she was a bit of a recluse. Her parents discovered her musical talents when she was just a youngster, and they pushed her to perform. By age eight she would be woken up at 1 am (after serving hours) to perform at local bars. Her parents had her performing on television, radio, even at senior centres.

Shania's family was poor, and her mother put a lot of hopes on Shania and her musical talents. Unfortunately her mother has not lived to see her success. When Shania was only 21, both her parents were killed in an automobile accident. After this tragic event Shania buckled down to support her younger siblings. She found a job singing at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario, bought a house, and took upon the role as mother/sister.

Once her younger siblings grew up and went their own ways, Shania put all her effort into making a name for herself. She created a demo of all original songs, and luckily got it to the head of the Mercury Nashville label. And as they say, the rest is history.
