The office of Studio Al Phan, which manages all the entertainment activities of Lebanese singer Katia Harb, has strongly denied circulating rumors that the singer has resigned from her music career.  The rumor was created due to Katia’s absence from the scenes a matter which her managing office was the singer’s request to take some time off from her work and try and relax. During her absence, Katia had spent her time visiting religious sanctuaries and taking part in different charitable works, like helping underprivileged children.  Studio Al Phan has revealed that Katia is scheduled to hold different performances around the Arab world. The singer is also planning on recording a number of new songs for her upcoming album, which she hopes to release in the near future.
Before taking time off from her caree, Harb held a huge celebration for the release of her album under the title "Katia" in the presence of a large number of stars from Egypt and Lebanon. The singer's guest list ranged from journalists, important figures, singers, actors, directors, and much more.
According to the London based weekly, Sayidaty, Miss Lebanon 2003 was the announcer at the big event along with Jalal Shahda. Katia did not consider the celebration as merely for the signing of her album, but also as a gathering of friends and loved ones.
Katia revealed that she named the album after herself as to not distinguish one song from another, especially since she considers it to be the best she has ever produced. The singer had included songs sung in the Egyptian dialect a first time attempt for her.
