(IsraelNN.com) The Lebanese government has appealed to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan to press Israel to stop flying over Lebanese territory,
according to the Gulf Times, published in Qatar. Prime Minister Fuad Siniora told Annan that the flights violate the U.N. Security Council ceasefire resolution.
Israel continues to use air surveillance to check on the movements of Hizbullah terrorists and efforts to re-arm them despite ceasefire resolution clauses that call for disarming the terrorist organization. |
