Prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki has made a personal call to young Egyptian actress Muna Zaki informing her that she has been nominated for a role in his upcoming film “Halim”, and that the role of Egyptian legend Soaud Husni, known as Egypt’s Cinderella, has been given to another actress. Despite recurring rumors that young Muna is to portray the Cinderella, she welcomed her other role stressing that her love of the late Egyptian legend Abdul Halim Hafez, whom the film is about, is bigger than her love to life itself.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Muna was in fact nominated for the role of the Cinderella a few months ago, but she turned it down stressing that she did not feel she would be the suitable person for it. Several dates had been previously set to begin shooting the first scenes of the film, but were postponed for different reasons. This time a final date was decided on and the filming will begin on January 18. A press conference will be held before filming the scenes, where the Ahmad will give out some details regarding the film. The film will be shot during the winter and spring seasons between Morocco and Egypt in the hope of having it ready for screening during the summer. Muna was recently admitted to a hospital and had an operation for her eye; she had to postpone all her work till her recovery. Muna has received many film offers, but revealed she will dedicate her present time to "Halim". The movie is about the legacy of the late legendary Egyptian singer Abed El Halim Hafiz. Muna has recently finished filming "Ahlam Omrina" "Our Life Dreams." She also filmed "Abu Ali," with Kareem Abed El Aziz. Ahmad Nader Jalal produced the film. |
