Jon Appleton (born Jon Howard Appleton in Hollywood, California, 1939) is a composer of electronic, electro-acoustic, and acoustic music. He currently teaches at the Bregman Electronic Music Studio at Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire. Appleton is one of the creators and an early virtuoso of the Synclavier. He has received Guggenheim, Fulbright, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities and American-Scandinavian Foundation fellowships.
