Prominent Egyptian actress Yusra has strongly denied circulating rumors that she intends on resigning from her acting career. The singer stressed that such a thought never crossed her mind and she would only consider resigning if her fans/audience stops appreciating and accepting her work.

Yusra also denied the news that she will be starring in a new film that portrays the life of the seduction diva American Marline Monroe.

On a different note,  Yusra stated that she will not wait for Jamal Abdul Hamid to direct her upcoming television drama "Mawjit Abeer," since he is preoccupied with his work on the new television drama "Halim." Yusa wants her drama to be aired during the holy month of Ramadan and has called on director Majdi Abu Ameerih to take Jamal's place.

Yusra revealed that she and Majdi have a good relationship since he directed several of her pervious television dramas, which were very successful.

The new drama is based on a true story about a kidnapping. The story, written by journalist Adel Imbariz, revolves around a little boy who is smuggled from Egypt to Jordan. Yusra plays a journalist who investigates the incident.
The script was written by Ibrahim Mustapha.

Sources have revealed that Yusra will receive a wage of 3 million Egyptian pounds (equivalent to half a million US$), making her the highest paid actor in Egypt. Actor Yahia Al Fakharani received two million EGP for his role in the same television drama, putting him in second place.

Yusra is shooting the final scenes of her upcoming film "Ma Tigi Nur'us" (Let's Dance) directed by the controversial Enas Al Dughaidi.

The film is an adaptation of the Hollywood production “Lets Dance,” starring Richard Geere and Jennifer Lopez.

The script is written by Osama Abdul Thaher and the film also stars Tamer Hajris, Izzat Abu Ouf, Hala Sidqi, and Randa Al Buhairi.
