Head of the Egyptian Musician Association, Hassan Abu Sou'od, has threatened to ban Lebanese singer Alissa, Egyptian singers Dolly Shahin, and Jad Shweiri from singing in Egypt.

The threat comes as a result of the fact that the three singers had held a private wedding concert and did not pay the due fees to the association, which amount to around 10 thousand Egyptian pounds each.

Hassan stressed that the three will not be permitted to hold any performance in Egypt and will remain banned until they pay the due fees. Alissa had received 35 thousand US dollars, Jad 30 thousand and Dolly 25 thousand US dollars for their performance.

Alissa had postponed her tour around the United States and Canada to an unknown date.

Tour organizers Yousif Harb and Maroun Abi Aad revealed that the visas for the singer and 15 crew members were not ready.

Alissa worked arduously to prepare for the release of her most recent album "Bastanak" (I'm Waiting for You) to meet the expectations of her fans, and she is now witnessing the fruits of her labor.

The album has proved to be a success and her songs have earned the number one spot on a number of music charts around the Arab world. The album, produced by ‘Rotana,’ has seized the number one spot in Virgin Mega Stores around the Arab world with the highest record sales.

The music video for the main song, also titled "Bastanak," has earned a number one seat on several charts. The video was filmed under the direction of American Brandon Darikson in Burgh, capital of the Czech Republic.

The album, featuring 12 songs, carries a new signature since the distribution process was shifted from Jan Marie Riashi to distributors Michel Fadel and Danny Hilo.
