The General Manager of one of a Moroccan natural oils and cosmetic company, Ahmad Raho, refused to reveal the actual wage that prominent Moroccan singer Samira Saeed will receive for doing a television commercial for company. Ahmad stress that Samira is the only person who may reveal the amount she was paid, due to the fact that the matter is a personal one. In the commercial, the singer is walking through one of the old streets of Casablanca listening to her song "Awini Beek" (Make Me Strong). Saeed has completed recording a collection of new songs for her upcoming album, scheduled for release this summer season. According to the London based Elaph, the songs are sung in a variety of dialects, including Lebanese, Gulf, and Egyptian. Recently, Saeed surprised millions who attended the opening ceremony of the ‘African Nations Soccer Championship’ at the Cairo Stadium when she performed a special song, "Kulna Insan" (We Are All Human), written especially for the event. The song is about fighting terrorism, sending the message that people should stand together as one to fight this evil that is destroying lives and causing unrest around the world. The song was written by Midhat Al Aden, composed by Amro Mustafa and distributed by Majid Awad. © 2006 Al Bawaba |
