Hizbullah on Saturday said any discussion in the fate of its weapons is "in the past."
Hizbullah official in charge of south Lebanon Nabil Qaouq outlined the stand in a statement to reporters at his office in the southern city of Tyre.
"Any discussion in disarming (Hizbullah) is in the past," Qaouq announced.
However, he said Hizbullah would take part in national dialogue "to discuss the mechanism of coordination between the army and the resistance."
He said "The United States and Israel would not have the chance of threatening the resistance through dialogue."
"The atmosphere of dialogue, understanding and reconciliation is the real intro to salvaging Lebanon and creating the strong, capable and just state" according to Qaouq. |
