MP Musbah Ahdab said Sunday a reconciliation with Hizbullah can only be achieved if the party admitted to have committed a "mistake against Beirut and its citizens."

Ahdab, in an interview with the Mustaqbal daily, said the ill-fated memo of understanding between Hizbullah and Salafi groups was tantamount to "recognition by Hizbullah that Salafis are not terrorists."

Hizbullah's activities in north Lebanon, according to Ahdab, are "not related to any resistance."

"Hizbullah wants the state of Lebanon to be at its service," he concluded.
