MP Ali Hassan Khalil on Sunday called for confronting alleged "terrorist plots aimed at separate the north from the rest of Lebanon."
Khalil made the claim in an address at a gathering by partisans of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri's AMAL Movement.
Such alleged terrorist threats, Khalil said, also aim at torpedoing the nation's stability.
Stability, he said, is the intro to settling the nation's problems.
Khalil said the recent visit by President Michel Suleiman to Damascus has resulted in "several positive factors that could be the base for retaining the best cordial relations between Lebanon and Syria." |
