The young Lebanese artist Rami Ayash received threats from an unknown partying stating that they will kill him if he goes ahead with his music performance in Syria. The young singer is scheduled to host a number of musical events in Syria this summer season. He received threats via telephone and e-mail.

Ayash did not listen to the threats and insisted on hosting the musical events in Syria, although he did increase security as a precaution.

Ayash said that he will not allow politics to interfere with his music performances.

“Art should reduce the tension created by politics,” said Ayash.
