An aide to Premier-designate Fouad Saniora said representation in the new cabinet should be nationally "balanced."

Mohammed Shatah, in a radio interview, said the cabinet formation also should have three Christian "pillars."

Such pillars, according to Shatah, are the group represented by Change and Reform Bloc leader Michel Aoun, the group represented by the March 14 majority and President Michel Suleiman's share in the cabinet.

He denied rumors that Saniora has received any new offer from the Hizbullah-led opposition regarding the cabinet formation.
