Gemayel: March 14 for 1960 Electoral Law that Secures Proper Christian Representation

Former President Amin Gemayel said that the ruling March 14 coalition is not against the qada-based 1960 electoral law, but only after amendments are introduced in the code. "We stress that we want an election law that would secure a truly complete Christian representation," Gemayel told Voice of Lebanon radio station. "What is more assuring is that March 14 leaders are totally with this point," he said. "But no matter what, we do not accept the (2000 election) Law of Ghazi Kenaan," Gemayel stressed.
