EMI Music Arabia is proud to announce the re-release of “Houdou Nisbi” by Ziad Al Rahbani. This recording has been unavailable for years, and is not being released due to popular demand.
Ziad Al Rahbani, born in 1956, is a living legend, known as one of the finest Lebanese composers and playwrights. Rahbani is the son of the famous Lebanese singer Fairouz and composer Assi Rahbani. He succeeded in conveying the cosmopolitan and pluralistic culture of his native city Beirut, composing several songs for Fairouz and other singers. Many of his musicals satirized the political situation in Lebanon during and after the civil war; others addressed more philosophical as well as political questions. He played the starring role in a number of his plays.
“Houdou Nisbi” originally recorded in Beirut and released in 1985, is one of the rich and enchanting works of Ziad, the more you listen to it, the more you fall in love with this classic style of music, and understand The Oriental Jazz. more you fall in
