Prime Minister Fouad Saniora on Monday addressed the Hizbullah-led opposition saying "our paths should meet … to salvage Lebanon."
In a statement of congratulations to the people on New Year, Saniora said: "eventually, our paths should meet, irrespective of how wide the differences are.
"Our destiny is based on dialogue and reciprocal steps to salvage Lebanon … The people expect us to succeed in finding settlements to the persisting crisis that we should overcome," Saniora added.
He noted that the "people are fed up of politics and threats of creating problems. The Lebanese People are tired, but they would not allow despair to dominate them."
He concluded that "our effort and our work should focus in the coming year on .. salvation." |
