Egyptian singer Shireen Wajdi revealed that the recent legal crisis she and her husband, Egyptian businessman Ehab Tal'at, are experiencing is the reason her upcoming album was postponed.
Shireen has already recorded six of the songs for the album, which she hopes to release at the end of the year.
Her husband Ehab was released from prison after he paid a debt he owed to the Egyptian Media Production Company, although the criminal court in Cairo has yet to order the release of the couple's frozen assets.
Shireen flew to Germany for three days to visit her husband who was there to receive medical treatment for his foot. Rumors claimed that he had fled the country.
The couple stated they are eager to get passed their crisis and move on with their lives.
In a separate case Ehab was convicted of writing bad checks to the Al Ahram Cooperation. He has appealed the verdict.
In addition, Ehab paid 26 million Egyptian Pounds he owed to the Egyptian government. Egyptian business tycoon, Najib Sweiris assisted Ehab with 15 million EGP toward his repayment.
