After being absent and away for some time due to an illness her husband the businessman and producer faced, and which made her stay with him in London, Egyptian singer Shireen Wajdi is preparing to come back into the spotlight once again. Shireen’s come back will be through a duet that she is making by including the voice of the late Egyptian composer Riyad Al Hamshari.
Before passing away, the famous composer had given Shireen a song with his voice on a CD in order to help her memorize the rhythm of the song.
According to the London daily Elaph, Shireen decided after discussing with those close to her in show business to record the song and to include Al Hamshari’s voice in an attempt to pay recognition to the late composer.
Shireen Wajdi released last year an album called “Layali Hayati” (Nights From My Life) and it included 10 different songs. She worked with a large number of poets and composers.
It is known about Shireen that she releases an album every two years, where she started in 2002 by her album “Wala Lailah” (Not One Night), then in 2004 “Kol Dah” (All Of This), and in 2006 “Laylai Hayati” (Night From My Life). Her next album will be released in 2008 after she comes back from her long stay in London to reside in Cairo with her husband. |
