United Arab Emirate singer Fatma has decided not to retire from the music industry, according to the London daily Elaph. She has returned to the spotlight with a new album, “Zahrat Al Ein” (Al Ein Flower). Although, the songs were recorded before she made the decision to retire. There are 12 songs on her new album, and poets such as Al Amir Ahmad Fadil Al Qamidan, Ahmad Al Mari, Jum’ah Bin Nayem Al Ka’bi, Saleh Al Rayan, Majboor, Muhammad Al Turkey, Aysha Al Shamsi, Hamad Shahab Hamad and Al Yaser and Ahmad Al Ghafli contributed. She also worked with a number of composers, like Nawaf Al Jaman, Al Gharib Bo Rabih, Muhammad Al Hashmi, Abdullah Bin Thaher, and her husband Muhammad Hussein. Fatma’s husband says that the reason behind Fatma’s planned retirement had to do with family problems; however, they both have reached a place where they can look beyond their troubles and toward future achievements. On the other hand, Fatma said that her singing career “stole precious time from her, hindering her ability to be a good mother,” during an interview with a local magazine. She also said that staying at home is much better than working and singing. Fatma’s previous decision to retire was connected to the fact that problems between her and her husband reached a possible divorce, but instead separated to try and work out their issues. When she started singing her husband was a big support, he was behind her in every step she took. When she got separated she felt alone and wanted to stay away from singing. Hussein says that things are normal between them and that her new album, produced by ‘ARM,’ will be in stores in the next two months.
